Terminology
Who am I?
A certified translator member of OTTIAQ (Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes du Québec) who graduated from UQTR (University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières), I am French and therefore working as a freelance from Guadeloupe (the French island where a live).
Passionate about literature and foreign languages since childhood, I really enjoy travelling and discovering other countries cultures. Since I live in the Caribbean and love animals, I started deep-sea diving to admire the wonders of the sea first-hand.
Degrees and mentorship
I graduated with the following degrees from UQTR:
- an English certificate
- a translation certificate
- a bachelor’s degree in Translation
In order to become a certified member of OTTIAQ, I spent six months in a mentorship program. I translated documents from various domains and every month I received correction, feedback and precious advices from my mentor, a certified and experienced translator. I also completed the training on ethics, professional conduct and professional practice and I follow the code of ethics and regulations of OTTIAQ.
During my studies, I was taught terminology and revision (both monolingual and bilingual) in addition to translation courses in numerous domains (medical, legal, technical, audiovisual, financial, advertising, etc.)
I can translate any type of document and publication, whether paper or electronical.
I can offer you quality work combined with profesionnalism, accuracy and availability.
How much for a translation?
Actually, the answer depends on a number of criteria such as the number of words, the technicity of the text, the time needed for terminology.
Based on this and after a quick study of your documents, I will send you an estimate.
